These glass rods are used to glaze shell cordovan and some other leathers. These glasses are “spent,” meaning we have rotated them for glazing until there is no surface left suitable for glazing. You can see them in action by clicking here and here. Some have bubble inclusions or slight color to them, the majority of them are represented by the glass in the top row, second from the right.
These are a fantastic tool for removing scuffs and scrapes from Shell Cordovan and other leathers. A light application of polish or conditioner followed by rubbing with the glass will mend most scratches.
Dimensions range from 4”-5.5” long and about 2” in diameter (weight of about 2 lbs each)
